U. S. Marshal's Sale

In the United States District Court for the District of Alaska. John W. Irwin, Plaintiff, vs. The Takou Mining and Milling Company Defendant.

Notice is hereby given that by virtue of execution, to me directed, issued out of the Clerk's office of the District Court of the District of Alaska, upon a judgment rendered in said court, in favor of John W. Irwin and against the Takou Mining and Milling company. I have levied upon the following described real estate, as the property of the said defendant, to-wit.

The relocated Pilz No. 3, the Jewel and the Grand Review, the Golden Fleece, the Lotta, the Keystone, the Juneau, The Crown Point, the Gold Hill, the Capital, the Takou Gold and Silver, and the Takou Union Lode Claims, all lying and being on the east side of Gold Creek, Harris Mining District, District of Alaska, together with all Mill sites, Flumes and Water-rights connected therewith and belonging thereto; together with all buildings, furniture, fixtures and machinery, tools, implements, and appliances belonging thereto. And that on the 14th day of January 1894, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon of said day at the courthouse at Juneau, Alaska, I will proceed to sell said property, or so much thereof as may be necessary to satisfy said execution, amounting to Eight Hundred and four dollars, and Forty and 20-100 dollard costs, together with accuring costs, at public auction to the highest and best bidder for cash. NOTICE OF SALE OF REAL ESTATE AT PUBLIC AUCTION

Notice is hereby given, that in pursuance of the power and authority vested in the undersigned by the terms of the last will and testament of Phillip Starr, deceased; the undersigned as executor of the estate of said Phillip Starr, will sell at public auction to the highest bidder, for cash (subject to confirmation by the United States Commissioner's Court, at Juneau, in probate) on Monday, the 16 th day of August, 1897, at the hour of 2 p.m. of said day, on the premises, in the town of Douglas, on Douglas Island, Alaska, all the right, title, and interest that the said estate has by operation of law or otherwise acquired through or in addition to that of the said Phillip Starr at the time of his death, in and to all those certain lots, pieces or parcels of land, situate, lying and being in the said town of Douglas, on Douglas Island, in the District of Alaska, and more particularly described as follows, to-wit:

All that certain piece or parcel of land numbered and designated as the south divided half (1/2) of lot number two (No. 2) in block number one (No. 1) as shown and designated upon the town plat of Douglas city, Alaska, together with all buildings and improvements thereon situate and contained; said property, buildings, and improvements having been known and designated as the "Brewery Saloon."

Also the North half (N. ½) of lot four (4), in block one (1), as shown and designated upon the town plat of Douglas city, Alaska, together with all buildings and improvements thereon.

Terms and conditions of said sale are cash; thirty per cent (30 per cent) of the purchase money to be paid on the day of sale; balance to be paid on confirmation of sale by the said Commissioner's Court in probate.

Deed to be made at the expense of the purchaser.

NOTICE OF SALE OF REAL ESTATE

In the United States Commissioner's Court for Wrangell, Alaska in the matter of the estate of Peter Bulger, deceased.

Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of an order of sale made and entered by the above court on the 14th day of Juneau, A.D. 1897, in the matter of the estate of Peter Bulger deceased, the undersigned, the administrator of said estate will sell at Public Auction, subject to confirmation by said court, the following described property situated in the town of Juneau, in the district of Alaska, described as follows: Commencing at stake adjoining the lot formerly owned by Luke Nolan and running southeasterly along the line of Franklin street - fifty feet, and extending back and up the hill a distance of 200 feet; also the water front lot fifty feet in width immediately opposite the above described lot; and extending to deep water, said water front lot lies alongside and adjoins on the east the old Carrol wharf site, said upland lot is known and designated on the map of said town of Juneau as lot 1 in block N.: said sale will be made at the door of the court house in Juneau, Alaska, on Monday, the 23 rd day of August, at the hour of 10 o'clock in the forenoon of said day; the terms of sale will be 25 per cent of the purchase money in cash at the time of sale, the balance payable upon confirmation by this court and the delivery of the administrator's deed.

NOTICE OF SALE OF REAL ESTATE

In the United States Commissioner's court for Wrangel, Alaska.

In the matter of the estate of George W. Cook, deceased.

Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of an order of sale made and entered by the above court, on the 19thth day of July, 1897, in the matter of the estate of George W. Cook, deceased, the undersigned, the administrator of the said estate, will sell at public auction, subject to confirmation by said court, at the door of the court house at Wrangel, Alaska, on Monday, the 23d day of August, at the hour of 10 o'clock a.m. of said day, the following described real and personal property, to-wit: all the interest of deceased at the time of his death in, and to, a small house in Wrangel, Alaska, known as the Cook property situated on the main front street, bounded on the east by an alleyway running between said property and the property of one William Tammeny, this property was wholly owned and claimed by deceased, also the interest of deceased at the time of his death being an undivided one half in, and to a certain salmon hatchery with its plant, tenements, and appurtenances, situated at McHenry Inlet, Alaska, also the interest of deceased at the time of his death, in, and to, the river stern-wheel steamer "Alaskan" now living at Wrangel, Alaska, said interest being an undivided one half. The terms of sale will be ten per cent in cash of the purchase money at the time of sale, the balance upon confirmation by said court and the delivery of the necessary conveyances. JOHN C.
