Rima Ramona Allen died Oct. 8, 2001, in Juneau.

Born June 3, 1967, in Seattle, Wash., Allen spent most of her life in Juneau. She was a member of Seton Lake Band 367 in Lillooet, British Columbia. She attended local schools and received her GED in 1986. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends, bicycling, motorcycling, dancing, watching scary movies and reading Stephen King novels.

Allen is survived by her son, Christopher Allen of Haines; mother and stepfather BJ Vinson and Kevin Kaelberer, Oklahoma City; father and stepmother William and Myrna Allen of Juneau; grandmother Roberta Vinson, Mesa, Ariz.; sister Tonya Allen, Destin, Fla.; half-sister Cris Morrison, Petersburg; stepsister Crystal Woodard, Tacoma, Wash.; stepbrothers Steve Sahlender, Great Falls, Mont., Kori Kaelberer, Auburn, Ala. and Derek Kaelberer, Atlanta, Ga.; long-time companion Joe Shepherd; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services in honor of Allen will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at the Salvation Army, 439 West Willoughby Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Allen's name to the Glory Hole, 247 S. Franklin, Juneau, AK, 99801.
