Diana M. Bennett died Aug. 11, 2001, in her home in Hawaii following a lengthy illness.

She was born April 6, 1928, in Washington. She came to Juneau in 1954 with her husband, Bernie L. Bennett, their three children and her sister-in-law.

Bennett's children and grandchildren will be gathering in Hawaii for a memorial service. Donations in her memory may be made to Hospice and Home Care of Juneau.
