THE JUNEAU EMPIRE
Juneau resident Vec Cabutin Cabrigas, 73, died March 20, 2006, at Bartlett Regional Hospital.
He was born on Feb. 6, 1933. In June 1982, he arrived in San Francisco. Then he moved to Juneau in October of 2002. He was married for 45 years to his wife, and they had eight children and 26 grandchildren. He was a retired security guard when he died.
He was preceded in death by his son, Isidro, of the Philippines.
He is survived by his wife, Concesa Cabrigas; children, Vedasto Jr. (Amalia) of Juneau, Virgilio (Mercy) of Juneau, Annabelle (Don) of San Bruno, Calif., Noel (Jasmine) of Daly City, Calif., Romeo (Carmelita) of Vallejo, Calif., Marilou (Larry) of Juneau, Gladysjean (Steve) of San Bruno and Melchie of San Bruno; grandchildren, Vedasto III, Kaye, Patrick, Kim, Joyce, Iron, Benito and Michelle, Heather Anne, Darryl, Noel John, Kimberly, Justin, Latrell, Tyrell, Dyrell, Matthew, Mitchell, Mark, Malcolm, Demetrio Jr., Marilla, Marla Anne, Blatnik, Breanna and Anthony; and great-grandchild, Renzsid.
Services will be held at noon today at St. Paul's Church. After Mass, a lunch will be provided in Parish Hall. Viewing will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Alaskan Memorial Park & Mortuary.
