THE JUNEAU EMPIRE
Juneau resident Richard A. "Rick" Capelle died at home Aug. 4, 2001.
He was born May 27, 1956, in Neenah, Wis., to Richard F. "Dick" Capelle and Gayle Werth.
He grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from Neenah High School. Capelle was in the National Guard from 1981-85. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Rick's favorite activities were fishing, hunting and hiking. He was employed at Pavitt Chiropractic and Fitness in Juneau as a message therapist at the time of his death. He was described by friends as generous, full of life and eager to learn. He will be remembered by many as a kind and gentle man, the family said.
He is survived by his parents Dick Capelle and Gayle Werth; brother John; sisters Cathy, Cindy, Candy, Toni and Chris; children Sara, Molly, Mindy, Kaylee, Zach and Alissa; numerous nieces and nephews; and long-time girlfriend Tracy Dwyer.
A memorial service was held in Juneau Aug. 12, 2001. Honorary pallbearers were Irv Brock, Pat Murphy, Dan Gaber, Corey Pavitt, John Leatham, Jerry Ponckow and Jon Lyman.
Additional services were held in Neenah, Wis., on Aug. 18, 2001, at the Westgor Funeral Home.
