William John Cullinane, 57, died June 26, 2001, in Hillsborough, Calif.
A native of Omaha, Neb., Cullinane attended Craghton University graduating with a B.A. in history and English. He continued his education at the University of Hawaii eventually earning a master's degree.
Cullinane became a teacher at Boystown in Omaha, Neb., and later at the University of Sydney. He also worked as a Democratic campaign manager and became co-owner of Inn at the Waterfront in Juneau. A lover of food, wine and life, he will be greatly missed, his family wrote.
He is survived by his children Kevin Cullinane, Don Christopher Cullinane, Sean Cullinane and Tim Mangiameli; sister Joann Cullinane Halda; brothers Tim Cullinane and Tom Cullinane; grandchildren Kristina Cullinane, Rachel Cullinane, Madison Cullinane, Aliya Cullinane and Jack Cullinane; daughters-in-law Michelle Cullinane and Lisa Wiegner Cullinane; and devoted partner Ann House of Juneau.
A funeral Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. June 29 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church at 1 Notre Dame Ave., San Mateo, Calif. Interment will be at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society 1720 S. Amphlett, No. 220 San Mateo, Calif., 99402.
