Juneau resident Lawrence Dean "Larry" Ebona died Nov. 15, 2001, in Bellingham, Wash.

Born April 22, 1955, in Juneau, Ebona lived in Juneau, Bellingham and Yakutat. He graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School and worked as a cab driver, a laborer and in commercial fishing. He was a member of the American Legion Sons of Sal.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maryann See Ebona.

He is survived by his daughter, Angela Frances Ebona, Yakutat; son Richard Ellisoff, Washington; sister Renee Ann Ebona-Warren, Reno, Nev.; sister Barbara Laura "Bobbi" George, Juneau; sister Bessie Wocott-Nolan, Juneau; brother LaBerne J. Ebona, Anchorage; brother Martin Ebona III; father Daniel Phillips, Juneau; stepfather Martin Ebona Jr., Juneau; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at the Salvation Army Church at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2001. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Salvation Army, and that friends light a candle in his memory.
