Longtime Juneau resident Mary Abella Egsgaard died Aug. 17, 2001.

She was born April, 29, 1938, in the Philippines. Egsgaard had worked for Behrends Bank and First National Bank of Anchorage.

She is survived by her son Henry of Juneau; sisters Rhoda Torrefranca of Juneau, Josephine Lu and her family in Fairbanks; brother Rene Abella and his family in Juneau; brother Honor Abella of the Philippines; and sisters Anita Almuite and Gloria Dawson of the Philippines.

A viewing will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 19, 2001, at the Alaskan Memorial Park Mortuary & Crematory. An interment will be announced later.

Mass will be celebrated for Mary Abella Egsgaard at 1:30 p.m., Aug. 21, 2001, at St. Paul's Church. An interment at the Alaskan Memorial Park Mortuary & Crematory and a gathering at the Filipino Community will follow the Mass.

A longtime Juneau resident, Egsgaard died Aug. 17, 2001.
