Former Juneau resident Katherine Ann Gale, 58, died on Nov. 28, 2005, at Providence Alaska Medical Center of lung cancer.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 8 at the Shrine of St. Therese in Juneau.
Memorial donations may be sent to the American Lung Association of Alaska at 500 W. International Airport Road, Anchorage, AK, 99518. Family and friends may leave memorial tributes at www.mem.com.

Katherine Ann Gale
Former Juneau resident Katherine Ann Gale, 58, died on Nov. 28, 2005, at Providence Alaska Medical Center of lung cancer. A memorial service is planned in Juneau for the spring. Her ashes will be scattered in Upper Salmon outside of Juneau.
She was born on April 9, 1947, in Juneau. She moved to Tenakee in 1948 at the age of 1 and back to Juneau in 1957 at age 10. She came to Anchorage in 1993. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and her basset hounds.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Heins, and her father, William Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Bruce Gale; son, Larry Woolford; daughter, Katrina Pearson; sister, Cheryl Glick; daughter-in-law, Noelle Derse; son-in-law, Michael Pearson; grandson, William Woolford; half-brothers, William and James Smith; uncle, James Smith and his wife, Joyce; aunt, Jane Drebaum.
