Former Juneau resident Edward S. Kroll, 56, died Dec. 12, 1997, at his residence in Grand Ledge, Mich.

Kroll lived in Juneau from 1972 until 1983, where he worked with a local cable company, with the Alaska Marine Highway System and as a builder. He continued work as a home builder and developer in Michigan.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, of Grand Ledge; six daughters, Sherry and husband Lonnie Jackson of Juneau, Cheryl and husband Kelley Bentley, Jessica Kroll and Christine Kroll, all of Grand Ledge, Shannon Brown of California and Stacey and husband Ben Seitz of Idaho; two sons, Steve and wife Cara Kroll of Nenana and Brian Kroll of Grand Ledge; a stepdaughter, Elaine and husband David Morado of Texas; 13 grandchildren; a brother, Philip and wife Margaret Kroll of Texas; and his first wife, Delores Nash of Idaho.

The funeral was Tuesday in Michigan.
