Former Juneau resident Agnes W. Larson died Sept. 20, 2001, at the Mapleleaf Care Center in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.

Born Dec. 24, 1912, to William and Minnie Wiegard, she moved to Juneau in 1944 and was employed by the federal Bureau of Indian Affairs and the state Department of Education. She married Sven H. Larson in 1972 and retired in 1975. She and her husband moved to Tacoma, Wash., in 1977.

She was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, the Pioneers of Alaska No. 6 and was a Past Worthy Matron of Nugget Chapter No. 2, Order of Eastern Star, Douglas, Alaska.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.

She is survived by her sister, Bernadine Buck, of Mt. Pleasant, her nephew Kenneth (and Donna) Fischer of Winfield, Iowa, two great-nephews and one niece and several great-great-nephews and -nieces.

A private memorial service will be held in the summer of 2002 at Charleston Cemetery near Donnellson, Iowa.
