THE JUNEAU EMPIRE
Former Juneau resident James A. "Jim'' McConaghy died Dec. 14, 1997, at his home in Salem, Ore.
He was born May 29, 1929, in Lueppe, Ariz. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea and earned a degree in geology from Michigan State University. He worked as a hydrologist in Juneau for the U.S. Geological Survey and also as a contractor and builder for 10 years. He was a former president of the Juneau Homebuilders Association.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret, of Salem and sons, Michael of Missouri and Rich of Beaverton, Ore.
Services were held Dec. 12 in Salem.
