Juneau Pioneer Buried
Funeral services were held last Saturday morning
from the Church of the Nativity in Juneau for James Monagle, pioneer resident of
Juneau, who died two days previously.
Monagle, widely known, having lived
in the Territory for 44 years, was born in Ireland and came to Alaska in 1897.
Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Mary Monagle and two daughters, Mrs. Mary Tweet
of Teller and Rosellen of Juneau and five sons, M. F. Monagle, James Monagle,
John P. and Merritt Monagle, all of Juneau, and J. Earle Monagle of Fairbanks.
