THE JUNEAU EMPIRE
Juneau resident Patrick J. O'Brien died Dec. 19, 1997, in Juneau.
Memorial services will be 9 a.m. Monday at the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
He was born September 27, 1936, in Chicago, Ill., and raised in Iowa. He attended the University of Iowa, and served in the U.S. Marines. He married his wife Glennys on June 29, 1968, in Sun Prairie, Wis. He worked as a television news reporter, and moved to Juneau five years ago, after retiring.
He is survived by his wife Glennys of Juneau, son Kevin and daughter-in-law Kim O'Brien, and grandson Duncan, all of Angoon, daughters Anne O'Brien of Littleton, Colo., and Bridgid O'Brien, of Denver, Colo., and sister Rosemary Reilly of California. He was preceded in death by his brother Terry O'Brien.
Memorials may be made to the Angoon High School basketball program, in care of T.J. Blackhurst, athletic director.
