THE JUNEAU EMPIRE
Juneau resident John "Jack" Oullis died March 11, 2007, in Juneau. He was 55.
Born April 16, 1951, he was raised in northern Minnesota, but Alaska was his home. A Juneau resident for 20 years, he was passionate about fishing and his love for Alaska. He was a contractor and veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Healey; parents, George and Nancy Oullis; sister, Susanne Desrochers; brothers, Terry and Jeff Oullis; children Shon, Keisha and Jennifer; aunt, Martha Fitzgerald; and numerous friends.
His ashes will be spread in Alaska and at Devil's Track Lake in Minnesota, and also given to his father. A potluck wake will be held at 5 p.m. Friday at the home of Bob and Joan Shorey, 8751 N. Douglas Highway.
Memorials may be sent to the Hospice and Home Care of Juneau.
