THE JUNEAU EMPIRE
Former Juneau resident Patricia Isabelle Parker, 71, died July 17, 2001, in her home in Anchorage.
Parker was born March 15, 1930, in San Francisco. She married Walter B. Parker on Jan. 28, 1946. She received a bachelor's degree in biology-zoology in 1965 and a master's degree in teaching in 1972 from Alaska Methodist University. Later she served as an adjunct professor at Alaska Methodist University and taught junior high school biology in the Anchorage School District. She lived in Juneau in 1975.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, five children and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on July 25, 2001, at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Anchorage. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in her memory to the Arc of Anchorage, 2211 Arca Drive, Anchorage, (907) 277-6677.
