THE JUNEAU EMPIRE
Longtime Juneau resident Rosaline (Rose) Beierly Patterson died Dec. 10,
1999, in Seattle from leukemia.
She was born June 30, 1942, in Juneau,
and lived most of her life in Juneau. She lived in Sitka for five or six
years, returned to Juneau in the mid 1980s.
She was preceded in death by her sister Roberta Beierly, her father Robert P. Beierly Sr., grandparents Minnie and Eli Howard and by her son David A. Pittman in October.
She is survived by her children Tom L. Pittman VII of Anchorage, Dan Pittman, Jody Pittman and Jimmie Patterson of Seattle, step-children Rena, Valerie and Eric Patterson of California and Washington, her mother Ida Beierly, brother Robert P. Beierly II of Juneau and Josephine Armstrong of Washington, six grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relations.
She was a shareholder in Shee Attika, Sealaska and a member of Tlingit
and Haida Community Council.
Memorial services will be held 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, at Tlingit and Haida Community Building. Services
will be combined with the memorial services for her son, who also died
recently.
A funeral service and spreading of ashes will take place in the spring in Juneau.
