Obituary - Thomas Perrigo

Thomas Perrigo Jr., a 34-year resident of Port Alexander, died Dec. 13, 1997, in Sitka.

Perrigo was born May 25, 1921, in Redmond, Wash., where he attended elementary and high schools. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard, with the Merchant Marines, with the Alaska Marine Highway System and as a shipwright. He married Marvel Perrigo on March 6, 1963, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He was a member of the Moose club, the American Legion and Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, Marvel of Port Alexander; son, Thomas Perrigo III of Seattle; and sister, Robin Norton of Washington.

A memorial service will be held in Port Alexander at a later date.
